This unique little seaflea was a product of a design published in the 1968 edition of Mechanix Illustrated. Constructed mostly of “Plyfoam” and fiberglass, one could conceivably build this boat using a ruler, an X-acto knife and some toothpicks. Although not as readily available as it was back in the 1960’s, Plyfoam is still manufactured today used for a variety of building projects where weight to strength ratios are critical. Likely a precursor to carbon fibre, the materials used in this seaflea may present a challenge for the average builder.
