“Here’s a red hot hydroplane for Class B racing events.” (And that’s how William Jackson described this particular addition to his growing stable of seaflea designs) When I saw these plans as a kid, (a thousand years ago) in an issue of Science and Mechanics I thought this was the coolest seaflea around. What really got my attention was the canvas decking and the included sample to use for a paint scheme. This is a classic hydro design. Not the easiest flea to build…but a real show stopper and it looks great with a vintage Mercury motor on the back…..can you say Hurricane?
