Race Boats of Muskoka - Port Carling, Ontario - Saturday August 7

The weather was terrific and the venue was outstanding.  The 2010 Muskoka Lakes Association Antique Boat Show was a resounding success!  We were there front and center with our usual display of seafleas, related stuff and information that we were able to share with thousands of spectators.  Great stories of days gone by and new stories of seafleas currently being built or restored was the continuing topic of discussion.  Many thanks to all of those people who shared their expertise and regaled us with tales of past boating events and personal glory.  "I had one of those when I was a kid" was the phrase-of-the-day, second only to "we have one of those under the cottage".  Hopefully, we have encouraged a new crop of potential seaflea builders to get started on their new boat building project.  Click on the link below for some pictures of this event.

Nice pictures . I enjoyed the event . Lots of boats that you don't see in Gravenhurst. I wish I had planned and taken my boat, maybe next year .

Really frustrated that we didn't make it down to this.....

I ended up at emerg on Friday night with an infection in my leg, so I spent my weekend with an IV in my hand and back and forth to the hospital for antibiotics.  All seems good now though, things seem to be healing up nicely.  I had a really bad infection in the same leg about 4 years ago so I wasn't taking any chances.

Anyhow.... it's just back to working on the flea!

You bet!   I've got some other great shots that I'm going to post on the archives section.  Hopefully I'll get rid of the backlog this week.  The best part about the set up, was that the helmet was a snowmobile helmet...I LOVE it!  As a side note....while Daniel was out on the bay I overheard a number of "old-timers" comment that they remember when they had hydro races on that very same bay.......sigh.........I wish for the good old days.

Yeah, it was great being up there on Sat..Myself on a Minimax and my buddy on a Minimost, launched our boats and zipped around for a good hour of fun!!!

Yes.....I'm disappointed we missed each other.  We're heading to Gravenhurst this Sunday morning to do a video shoot.......care to come on over?
