Yes!!!!!!!     We have already started preparations for Fleafest 2022

Mark your calendar!   Saturday, July 23, 2022!

Hi all!

After talking with Dennis and Judy Ring (the owners of Rockhaven Inn), we have decided that Fleafest 2022 will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022.  This seems to be the best possible time and hopefully will not conflict with any other major events.  Rain or shine, it will go on and we have been taking a ton of inquiries for the past year about what will be planned and how people can attend.  For the most part, it will again be a very relaxed day.  As always we are looking for in-water and on land displays and flea market booths promoting safe boating, kids, fun and Kahshe Lake in general.  ADMISSION IS FREE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, BUT WE WILL BE ASKING FOR A REGISTRATION FEE TO BRING YOUR SEAFLEA.    (THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THAT WE CAN FUND THIS EVENT)

Although we are in the very early stages of planning, we are always looking for ideas.   I am sure there are other things that need improving from our last event...

Stuff that will likely happen...

Dean and Rita, the owners of the "Candy Shoppe" on the highway 11 South have agreed to make gift baskets to hand out as "prizes" again for our extremely popular "People's Choice Award."    CHECK OUT THEIR WEBSITE HERE:

Jeff Glanfield will return again with his new and improved  "Mini-Tugboat" on the water to give kids and big kids alike  rides around the bay!   This was a hugely popular feature during Fleafest 2019 and we are thrilled that Jeff will be returning!

More kids activities........model boat building and  RC boating races around the docks....    HAVE A LOOK HERE AT WHAT WE HAVE PLANNED.....

And then our "Dogs With Fleas" race is back again where dogs and their owners will race together to take home the coveted "Dogs With Fleas Golden Paw Award"

And wail....there's more!    This year we are giving away a ready-to-run beautifully restored Mini Most generously donated by long time Kahshe Lake cottager, Mark Kierstead.   Tickets for this amazing boat will go on sale throughout the day.  All proceeds from ticket sales will go to local charities.     HAVE A LOOK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO OF THIS GREAT LOOKING BOAT!

I will keep everyone in the loop as things progress.  We are open to any and all suggestions.....(although there is no guarantee that we will agree with them)

If you would like to be included in our planning email list, please contact me at and I will add you to the list.   We are looking for volunteers to help with pre-Fleafest setup and to help during the day with organization, boat launching and communications.
